Boston, MA (November 5, 2002) — PaperThin, Inc.’s CommonSpot Content Server has been selected as the winner in the category of Content Management for the 2002 MIMC Awards. The annual MIMC Awards is the largest awards competition in the country recognizing excellence in interactive work and technology applications designed, produced, or developed in New England. Winners were announced in 29 categories, including four “Best of” awards at an awards ceremony attended by nearly 1,000 industry professionals held on November 4th at the Boston Copley Place Marriott.
CommonSpot Content Server is a full-featured, browser-based Web publishing and dynamic content management solution (CMS) used by more than 100 organizations of all sizes worldwide to efficiently manage Internet, intranet and extranet sites.
“Today, more than ever, the ability for organizations to see a demonstrable return on investment for technology spending is critical,” said Todd Peters, PaperThin president. “CommonSpot delivers this by providing affordable, out-of-the-box functionality that enables organizations to rapidly create and effectively maintain dynamic Web sites, at a much lower cost than other solutions on the market today. It also frees up IT staff by putting content management into the hands of content owners, allowing them to easily deliver compelling content to their target audiences. We’re delighted to have been recognized by MIMC and the judges with this prestigious award.”
"Judging by the winners, who represent a wide cross section of industries including retail, government, media, entertainment, healthcare, manufacturing and financial services, creativity is alive and well in New England," said Leslie Cushing, executive director of MIMC. "The work was some of the best we've ever seen, and clearly demonstrates how companies are utilizing technologies to enhance their business performance."
Entries were judged by over 100 industry professionals representing various disciplines who are distinguished in their fields including media representatives, industry analysts, creative directors, designers, technologists, investors and business professionals.
