BOSTON, June 30, 2009 --PaperThin, Inc., a leading Web content management solution provider, today announced that numerous brand name customers, including Hasbro, Sharp HealthCare, Sir Speedy, and the Senior PGA have launched new Internet and intranet sites that wow consumers, inspire play, facilitate transactions, and inform customers and employees. Each site is powered by the CommonSpot Web content management solution.
- Hasbro’s new website (www.hasbro.com) inspires play through its powerful brands. The organization has 40 international sites in 22 languages, with an individual site for each of its toys, games, and products. Built using CommonSpot, the site features MonkeyBarTV where people of all ages can play online games, watch videos and read comics.
- The Senior PGA website (www.pga.com/seniorpga) is the digital destination for information on the Senior PGA Championship. The Senior PGA used CommonSpot to develop a website that features dynamic content, streaming video, real-time integrated scoring, advertising, blogs, and links to social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter.
- Sharp HealthCare (www.sharp.com) used CommonSpot to build SharpNet, a corporate intranet which 14,000 employees visit 23,000 times each day to store documents, find information, and leverage a multitude of tools (such as Web, ERP, and medical applications). Additionally, every credit card transaction across the Sharp network (including private hospitals, clinics, etc.) runs through the intranet which is managed by 230 content contributors.
- Sir Speedy’s new website (www.sirspeedy.com) serves both customers and its network of worldwide affiliates that span 800 locations in 16 countries. Sir Speedy used CommonSpot to build a complete, customizable, 20-page website template that new and existing franchises can launch in less than five minutes, without the need for CommonSpot training. The sites feature integration between Sir Speedy Centers and Google Maps for easy directions, as well as Send-A-File and Request-A-Quote capabilities that make it easy to do conduct business online.
“We needed a WCM solution that would handle large site traffic demands, that was easily customizable, flexible, and that provided the tools Sharp needed to continue to further develop and expand the intranet and website with features such as multi-media, taxonomy, and blogs. CommonSpot fit the bill across the board and has been a great choice from day one,” said Lawrence Turner, manager of Web development for Sharp HealthCare.
“CommonSpot is a very powerful and versatile tool that can be used to create and manage Web content, build custom applications, store documents, and deliver content via multiple delivery channels which is why so many varied brand name organizations use it to power their Web initiatives,” said Bob Cellucci, senior vice president at PaperThin. “Its great to see these new sites coming on line and we’re proud to be associated with such powerful brands.”
CommonSpot is a flexible, scalable, and easy-to-use Web content management solution that enables organizations to improve productivity and achieve better results from their Web initiatives. The solution’s inherent flexibility and scalability empowers IT and site administrators to easily adapt the system—whether you want out-of-the-box applications that you can customize; the ability to create your own applications through a development framework; or the ability to easily integrate with, or import and export applications.
